Snowfall star, Damson Idris shared that he needed divine intervention after invoking devilish forces to deliver on performances in the hit show’s final season.

The British actor made the revelation during the Hollywood Reporter’s roundtable discussion about 2023 TV Dramas, where he admitted to facing challenges in bringing out the darkness of his character Franklin Saint, and called up satanic forces to give him a boost

“I remember sometimes we’d do 10 episodes for my show. In this last season, I was hitting a block, the actor shared with the panel which included notable actors such as Pedro Pascal, Kieran Culkin, Evan Peters, and Jeff Bridges.

“… So I went into the corner and I was looking at the wall and I was like, he continued “Come on, devil, come on devil. “Come to me!!!’ Because I needed to do something crazy.”

According to the actor, the solicitation appeared to work, as he was able to deliver the required emotions and mannerisms associated with a diabolic character shift.

He was, however, quick to point out that it came at a cost as he reflected on being distressed following his role and had to call on more heavenly intervention to remove the evil energy.

“I had nightmares for a month. I felt the energy. And I had to pray and do all this stuff to get rid of it. You know, you call your mum up and you’re like, Bring me back to life.’”

“That stuff is real. That stuff really is real,” a reflective Idris concluded about his experience.

He shared his experiences after fellow panelist -Jeffery Dahmer actor Evan Peters was asked about playing the notorious real-life serial killer in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix docuseries.

Snowfall’s final episode aired on April 19 after six seasons, for which he won a bet award for best actor last year and is favored to earn his first Emmy nod.
