Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton has confirmed the presence of the Mu variant of COVID-19 in Jamaica.

According to the minister, of 90 samples tested, 26 were positive for the variant.

The minister also added that after tomorrow, September 10, the Ministry of Health and Wellness will suspend administering the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
