In one of the most ingenious tactics in raising money for a wedding, a French salesman decided to turn his tuxedo into an active billboard by selling spaces on his suit as advertising spots.

According to reports, the man identified as Dagobert Renouf successfully pitched the idea of co-sponsoring his wedding in a last-ditch effort to raise capital for the special day after he would not be able to give his fiancée Anna Plynina the proper wedding of her dreams in his current financial state.
“This summer I was completely broke, close to homelessness, but still wanted to marry my wife,” Renouf said while speaking to US publication PEOPLE. “I asked for help from my community of entrepreneurs on social media, and someone joked he would give me €500 (approximately $576 USD) if he put his logo on my suit. Then it caught on and other people said they would do it as well.”
The unconventional marketing ploy hit the target with more than a handful of tech start-ups, which bought into the concept, and perhaps his story was reflected in a cadre of brands plastered around his jacket, showcased on their big day in front of 60 guests, of course, made possible through their involvement.
The occasion and innovation became a viral sensation online, not only ensuring the proper nuptials of the two but also landing Renouf a job at one of the companies who so impressed by his bold shrewdness in ensuring he delivered the wedding of his wife’s dreams.
