Reggae revival superstar Chronixx has surpassed the 100 million mark on YouTube views.
The ‘Dela splash’ singer shared the milestone via his Twitter page which was accompanied by commendations by fans and music insiders alike.
The song, which was released in 2013, adds the zinc fence leader among an exclusive company of Jamaican artistes to breach that threshold. The likes of which include Bob Marley, Sean Paul, Spice, and Koffee to name a few.
The artiste, who has been a mainstay in the Reggae Revival movement since his big break in 2011, with hits such as Behind Curtain and Warrior proves that the demand for authentic dub reggae has not lost its relevance and still has demand among newer audiences.
The song itself, with its militant theme over consciousness messaging and subtle, was dubbed an instant classic on its release in 2013, continues its march of notoriety nine years later.
The Grammy-nominated artiste who has been compared to the late Peter Tosh because of militant type of messages through music by many is also credited with popularising message music among the new school.
He has since become a leading figure in the genre since his big break in 2011, then blessed us with countless classic and several hits, over the years proving that good music have an audience.
