Peace is the answer!
It has been confirmed by China’s Foreign Ministry at a regular press briefing on Friday that the government is to send a special envoy to Ukraine and Russia starting next week.

This is in an effort to help reach a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

The Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said it’s special representative on Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, will visit Ukraine, Russia, and several European countries (France, Germany, and Poland) as part of Beijing’s bid to act as a middleman in the war in Ukraine in spite of concerns over its neutrality.

According to Wang, “This visit by the Chinese representative is a testament to Chinese efforts to promote peace talks and our firm commitment to peace.”

Li will be the highest-ranking Chinese diplomat to visit Ukraine since Russia invaded the country on February 24, 2022.
