The schedule for the finals of the 2022 ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Championships has been released.

The action will get under way earlier this year with a few minor adjustments including the blue ribboned event; the 100 meters being brought froward, while the 200m is pushed back.

On Tuesday’s opening day April 5, the 100- and 400-meters prelims will be the major highlight on the day followed by the opening ceremony.

Day 2 on Wednesday will see the first set of finals with the 100 meters in all classes leading to the highlights.

· Shot Put (Girls’ class 2)

· 1500 (All classes)

· Discuss (Girls Class 1)

· Decathlon (100m, long jump shotput, high jump,400m)

Thursday’s Day 3 will see the 400 meters finals for all classes being the major highlight of the day.

· Decathlon (110 hurdles, Discuss, pole vault, Javelin, 1500m)

· High Jump (Boys Class 3&2)

· Discuss (Boys Class 1)

· Shot put (Class 2)

· Long Jump (Girls Class 2)

Friday day of finals will see

· Heptathlon (100m, high jump, shot put, 200m)

· Long Jump (Boys class3)

· High jump (Boys class 4 Girls class 1)

· Pole Vault (Boys open)

· Discus (Girls Class 2&3)

· 2000 Steeplechase (Girls and Boys Open)

· 400 Hurdles (All Classes)

· Triple Jump (Boys class 1 Girls open)

Saturday’s final day

· 4×100 (All Classes)

· 4×400 (Boys Open & Girls Open)

· 200 m (All classes)

· 800 m (All classes)

· Heptathlon (long jump, Javelin ,800m)

· Javelin (Boys open)

· High Jump Girls Class 2, Boys Class1,2)

· Shot Put (Girls Class 2, Boys Class1,2)

· Long Jump (Girls class 1,3)

· 70 m hurdles (Girls Class 4)

· 80 m Hurdles (Girls’ class 3)

The full schedule will be released on the days of championships, including the heats and semifinal rounds.

The 2022 Boys and Girls Champs is set to run from April 5-9 at the National Stadium, Kingston, Jamaica.
