In one of the most anticipated match-ups this season, the Eastern Conference top two teams Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics will face off in a top-of-the-table clash at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn on Thursday.
Both teams have been among the most consistent in the last three months especially the Nets who have turned their tumultuous start to the season into a triumphant springboard to now be challengers for conference top spots.
2022 NBA finalist, Celtics have had to contend with internal issues before the season and have maintained a solid start in the league to sit atop the conference virtually undisturbed as they seek to preserve their campaign back to another final.
The host team Nets who have won back-to-back games since their 12-game win streak was snapped will be forced to make it three without influential guard Kevin Durant who is out injured after picking up an MCL injury in their last win.
While they’ve shown enough quality to get the job done without one of their main stars that will be an area the Celtics will be hoping to take advantage of when they travel to Brooklyn.
A win for Brooklyn will see them move within two wins of the Celtics on 28 victories, while a Boston win will see them consolidate their table-topping rank with 31 wins.
