International music sensation Byron Messia will be looking to create more waves after teasing the upcoming video for his collaboration with R&B singer Fridayy titled “Mercy.”

Fridayy is recognised as the powerful voice behind the chorus and intro to DJ Khaled’s single “God Did,” which was also the title track for the Grammy-nominated album.

Messia shared a post by the “God Did” singer that shows the two on set for the video on Thursday.

The “Talibans” hitmaker, who sparked controversy around his music following his claim of having the biggest dancehall track since 2005, will be hoping to convert the additional attention into positive traction for the single.

The single that shot Messia to international stardom has been one of the breakthrough songs of the year, with remixes from several major acts, including Chris Brown, Konshens, and Burna Boy. The latter earned the Kingston-born deejay his first appearance on the Hot 100 singles chart.

Messia will also be hoping to use the attention to build hype around the premiere of his upcoming single “Mad Dawg,” which is set for release on Friday.
