Nyla of the Jamaican music group Brick & Lace continues to rack up accolades, as her 2015 collaboration with EDM/Pop collective Major Lazer– “Light it Up,” was certified 3x platinum in the UK for registering the equivalent of 1,800,000 units sold.
The single, which also featured Ghanaian artiste Fuse ODG, received its updated certification from the British Phonographic Institute (BPI) on Friday.
The feat adds to the song’s double-platinum status in the US for registered sales of 2 million copies by the Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA).
Light It Up has dominated streams with more than 1.2 billion on Spotify and a collective 920,000,000 million views on YouTube.
