Jamaican sprint sensation Brianna Lyston has officially joined the Adidas running family after singing a Name Image and Likeness (NIL) deal with the sportswear giant.
The Louisiana State University (LSU) star athlete confirmed the Adidas deal via her social media on Monday.

NIL deals are described as an agreement that allows student-athletes to monetize the use of their image or name through brand sponsorship and endorsements. Such arrangements in the US were previously reserved for professional athletes until 2021.
The news adds to an already super start to the season for the former U20 200m World Champion, who was recently named the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) National Athlete of the Week for her record-equaling performance in the 60 metres, along with being on the “Bowerman Award” watchlist.
Lyston, 19, is regarded as one of the future global stars of Jamaica’s next “golden generation” of female sprinters.
