The world’s oldest dog, known as Bobi, just celebrated his 31st birthday and did so in style.

He celebrated with more than 100 guests, and even a dance troupe turning up to honour the hound!

He was born on May 11, 1992, according to BBC, Bobi’s owner Leonel Costa, said his dog gets a lot of attention as the world’s oldest dog, and journalists from all over the world come to take a picture of him.

Bobi’s party was held on Saturday at his home in the rural Portuguese village of Conqueiros, where Bobi has lived his entire life.

His record age was confirmed by the Portuguese government’s pet database and has just been placed in the Guinness book of world records.

Canines usually have an average life expectancy of 12-14 years, which Bobi has more than doubled!

The previous all-time record holder was a dog called Bluey in Australia, who made it to the age of 29 in 1939.
