Jamaican- American rapper Sean Kingston, is celebrating a beautiful milestone, after his breakout single ‘Beautiful Girls’, passed the coveted 1-billion streams mark on YouTube on Thursday.
The track was released on the artist’ debut album Sean Kingston on May 26, 2007.
The track which was the lead single from his 2007 platinum-selling self-titled debut album, has retained its popularity as his most influential track 15 years since its release.
Kingtson, who has had several hits since took to Instagram to share news of the latest feat for the song
“Huge Blessing! BillionaireClub,” he captioned a picture of the thumb of the single.
The song which samples Ben E. King’s classic “Stand by Me” shared a vulnerable but relatable glimpse into the emotional state of being severely hurt after experiencing a painful breakup from a teenage boy’s perspective.
The infectious track not only gave the rapper his first billboard entry but a rare feat of having Billboard topping debut single.
Kingston has had several other entries on the music chart including; with singles such Beat it feat Chris Brown, Take You there, ‘Love Like this’ Featuring Natasha Bedingfield and Face drop to name a few.
The artist is currently promoting his Chris Brown featured single ‘Ocean Drive’.
