RnB artiste August Alsina is singing a distressful tune following his alleged bust-up with rapper Tory Lanez after his show over the weekend which saw the singer blooded and disheveled.
August took to IG on Sunday, to share graphic images of his injuries including a busted lip bad scrapes to both his elbows and knee.
Injuries which he asserted was as a result of being attacked by the ‘Say it’ rapper and his security team.
“Me after a toupee’d sneak attack then being man handled by buku security one deep, as the jealous leprechaun run’s back off into the building.😂” he posted
Lanez however denied being involved in the incident following a subsequent interview.
Speaking with the media personality DJ Akademiks the LA confidential singer said;
“Nah nothing happened. I really don’t know what this kid is talking about, I don’t know if he’s doing promo. I don’t know what that n***a is talking about.”
The incident is said to have happened during a confrontation between the two after August, ignored lanz’s attempt to shake his hand while walking down a tunnel.
The interaction was captured on video and surfaced a day after the reported altercation between the two. A separate video also surfaced, which shows Tory gleefully prancing with guards moments after.
Both videos seemingly support Alsina’s version of the event.
The initial ignoring of Tory and ultimately the altercation itself is said to have stemmed from a freestyle by the Canadian rapper where he chides August about his entanglement with Jada Pinkett-Smith.
A reference that evidently did not go down well with the singer. In an audio clip reportedly just before the altercation, a voice said to be of August could be heard saying “I hate when n**gas don’t keep that same energy”
A second voice said to be Tory’s responded “what energy?” to which the first person continued “why did you speak on my business online”
Neither party have confirmed or denied the authenticity of the recording however all available information publicly seems to support August’s claims.
Whilst it remains unclear if legal action will be pursued, it would only add to the woes of the Canadian rapper who is still embroiled in a court case with ‘Hot girl’ Megan thee Stallion.
