While known for pop, reggaeton, and a bit of R&B, Jamaican pop singer Andon has officially entered the Christmas ring with his new song “Beside Me at Christmas.”

SLEEK entertainment caught up with Andon and he explained his reason for trying his vocals on a track for Christmas.

He said “Christmas is just a great time.. you get to spend that with friends, your significant other, or just family. This holiday brings a different kind of vibe and I feel it should be embraced.”

Andon also explained that Christmas is a magical and amazing time of the year and “The inspiration behind the song is just feeling a different kind of love and appreciation for your partner.”

The artiste noted that “Beside Me at Christmas” is a love song that can set the mood for couples.

The beat was created by a Canadian female producer – Jeia who Andon says “Literally got this song recorded in about 2 hours.“

It was recorded by Harry J Recording Studio alongside the incomparable Kalex whom Andon classifies as a “genius”. Meanwhile, mixing and mastering were done by Simpac Music.

The video for the song was released, depicting love at Christmas.

In the meantime, Andon says his fans can look forward to an album coming very soon. While he didn’t indicate a release date, he says it will be his best body of work.
