R&B singer DaniLeigh has reportedly been arrested in Miami in connection to a hit-and-run incident while driving under the influence (DUI).

According to reports, the artiste was taken into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Miami International Airport at approximately 8:15 am on Tuesday after allegedly trying to flee the scene of the crash.

TMZ reports that the 28-year-old was seen by several witnesses driving at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of lanes near Miami Beach.

It’s further reported that officers who were alerted to the activity claimed she struck someone on a motorized scooter … and dragged it for about a block before being stopped by the lawmen.

It’s understood that the ‘Easy’ singer had failed both a field sobriety and breathalyzer test, which reports say her blood alcohol level showed 0.148 and 0.145, which is twice the legal limit, and was subsequently arrested by officers at the location.

Leigh was booked on three felony charges including; leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and injuring a person while driving under the influence, as per TMZ.

It was further stated that the person who was hit in the incident suffered a kidney laceration and a spinal fracture treated according to reports from the hospital.

The Miami-based singer previously made headlines for her legal troubles, following a domestic dispute with ex-boyfriend – rapper DaBaby, whom she shares a 20-month-old daughter with.

She was charged with two counts of simple assault related to two incidents in November 2021, after DaBaby called the police, claiming he was assaulted by her.
