In a release by the Jamaica football Federation (JFF); Wint who was the subject of the players’ grouse, tendered his resignation late last night, following days of bitter impasse between the players and the federation.
An impasse which reportedly threatened the continuation of the Boyz participation in the tournament and saw interim coach Paul Hall allegedly offer his own resignation in solidarity against Wint’s incumbency.
The Reggae Boyz, who returned only returned to the island on Monday morning via chartered flight through diplomatic means are however in good spirits and ready to defend home turf following the decision.
Communication liaison offer of the JFF Mr. Earl Baily confirmed the Boyz readiness to win.
“ The match will be on a scheduled, the Boyz had a light training session this morning and are looking good”
Adding that: Interim Head Coach Paul Hall will also be at the dugout giving directions as coach for the game.
The Boyz who were surprisingly held to a 1-1 drawn result against Suriname following a late own goal on Saturday in the first leg in Suriname and will be looking to maximize at home before their next fixture.
Match time is set for 8 pm at the National Stadium.
