British Pop/Soul megastar Adele continues to have the best come-back season ever, after snagging top category wins at the 2022 Brit Awards last night in London.

The ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ singer, bagged the Best Album for ‘30’, Artiste of the Year as well as Song of the Year award, for the project’s lead single ‘Easy On Me’ during Tuesday night’s ceremony.

Adele, in her typical style, expressed sincere gratitude, a level of vulnerability, and even shock in accepting her awards.

What may also have shocked many, was her recognition of her ex-husband Simon Konechi during an emotional acceptance speech for Album the Year. The ‘Someone Like You’ hitmaker thanked her ex-partner Konechi and their son Angelo Adkins, whilst sharing the influence they had on the process of making her ‘30’ album.

“I’d like to dedicate this to my son, and to Simon, his dad. I’m very proud of myself for sticking to my guns and putting out an album about something so personal to me because not a lot of people do that anymore,” the singer expressed.

She later treated the fans to a memorable performance of her ‘I Drink Wine’ later in the evening. Dawned in her regal-looking gold ballgown and matching stilettos, her attire was just as captivating as her performance.

The three awards move her tally of wins at the event to a record-extending 12 wins, passing her own mark of nine [Brit Awards] accolades. She also has a staggering 15 Grammys and an Oscar award.

It was the show’s first staging in over two years since the advent of the pandemic.
