Soca star Nailah Blackman took ‘I Love Soca’ patrons at the UWI Mona Bowl in Kingston, Jamaica on a highly energetic experience on Boxing Day, fully embracing the theme ‘Cloud 9’.
The soca artiste describes it as a “Euphoric moment.”
Nailah took the stage minutes before Midnight, running into Wednesday morning (December 27, 2023), delivering several of her hit singles which had everyone singing and dancing.
There was little to no talking, as she engaged the audience on a deeply personal level using her music and even taking snaps with a few as she performed.
This was Nailah’s first time performing at I Love Soca’s Boxing Day staging, and in an exclusive interview with SLEEK, she said “It was really amazing. I had no idea what to expect.”
She expressed that she was quite amazed by the setup and marveled about the warm and positive feedback she had received from the patrons.
The Trinidadian singer-songwriter, came to fame in 2017 when she collaborated with Kes on the song ‘Workout’ and since then she has been reaping success.
As the new year approaches, Nailah promised that it will be an “Epic” 2024.
Meanwhile, Shenseea joined Nailah on stage to perform their 2018 hit collaboration “Badishh” after which the dancehall artiste took over and gave patrons a 15-20-minute diamond performance.
And what seemed like definitely a moment for the ladies, Stalk Ashley jumped on stage and delivered her hit “As A BadGal” and the collaboration that has her name stamped in the dancehall lovers’ book, “Narcissistic” which features Valiant.
I Love Soca definitely delivered with three of the top female artistes for 2023 in the Caribbean.
