Jamaica’s Shadae Lawrence seems poised to make it through to the women’s discus throw final, after a good enough performance in Group A qualifiers at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics a short while ago.
Though failing to get the automatic qualifying mark of 65m, Lawrence’s 62.27m achieved on her second attempt, saw her placing third in the group and should also be good enough to make it into the top 12 for the final.
However, she will have to await the completion of the Group B throws to confirm whether or not she has progressed.
