The anticipation for Jada Kingdom’s upcoming EP “Just a Girl In a Money Man’s World” went up a notch following the reveal of the project’s first teaser track “Still Searching,” which samples Damian Marley’s 2001 classic of the same name.
The song, listed as track 1 on Kingdom’s EP, has production by superproducer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor, and was teased as the first major unveiling as a pre-New Year’s reveal to fans as the countdown to her January 21 EP drop continues.
The iconic Marley track formed part of his critically acclaimed Grammy-winning “Half-Way Tree” album.
Kingdom thanked Marley and “Di Genuis” for their work on the track, following the reveal, which has already begun to find favour among her fans who’ve expressed both excitement in the connection and approval of the content.
The track is the latest in an expanding catalogue of collaborative works between the “Di Genius” and Kingdom, who’ve previously worked on hit drops, including her ladies classic “GPP” and John Legend’s R&B/Reggae rockers “Speak In Tongues” on his 2022 “Legend” album.
Given the early reception from the preview, the two appear to have again secured another hitbound record to kick off the new year.
