International Dancehall megastars Sean Paul, Shaggy, along with “new generation”stand out Chronica Law are among several music heavyweights confirmed to headline the “Jamaica Strong” benefit concert set for UBS Arena in New York on December 12.

The event, which is among a slew of planned events across the world by various stars and personalities to help raise funds for recovery efforts, also features the likes of fellow dancehall star Teejay, Soca Giant Kes, along with Reggae icons Richie Stephens, Inner Circle, T.O.K., songstress Tessane Chin, along with a host of other yet-to-be-announced major names.

Earlier in November, Entertainment Minister Hon Olivia “Babsy Grange” had announced plans for a Concert series on the island to help with fund crucial aid resources for Jamaica as the island tries to fast-track its rebound and help with critical social and emotional issues.

Both Sean and Shaggy, along with others, have personally been at the forefront of being on the ground and providing crucial relief aid in Jamaica independently in the immediate aftermath of the devastating Category five hurricane Melissa.
