Dancehall stars Skeng and Skillibeng are among several A-listers featured on Nicki Minaj’s highly anticipated ‘Pink Friday 2’ album, released on Friday.
The dancehall duo appears on the track titled “Forward From Trini.”

The single gives a fun Caribbean link-up between the Trinidad-born rapper and the Jamaican deejays in an interesting dancehall-rap fuse for a refreshing ‘tropical break’ in the highly diversified rap project.
For Skeng, “Forward From Trini” furthers the continued musical connection between himself and the ‘Young Money’ stalwart, who is self-proclaimed “his biggest fan”.
The “Super Freaky Girl” hitmaker has maintained strong ties and support for the Spanish Town native after remixing his 2022 smash “Likkle Miss.”
The collaboration, which also yielded an all-female remix (The Fine Nine), not only topped several charts across the region and Europe but landed Skeng his first Billboard place.
The collaboration also represents a musical reunion between Minaj and Skilli, who previously connected on the remix of his 2020 hit “Crocodile Teeth.” That track propelled the ‘Eastside Boss’ to Billboard status after breaking onto the US Hot 100 singles chart.

The track not only represents Minaj’s pride in her roots but also highlights the growing international demand for both Skilli and Skeng as Dancehall’s resurgence in the global mainstream continues.
