After 10 years of working alongside several major players in the entertainment industry, Shawn Antoine has officially entered the business of production with his company Keyzie House.

Known to many as a singer/songwriter, and instrumentalist who has worked with the likes of DJ Nicholas, Prodigal Son, Ryan Mark, Christopher Martin, Kranium, Voicemail, Koffee, Beenie Man, and Dexta Daps Shawn exclusively told SLEEK “While being behind the scenes back then, doing most of the creation, I’ve realized that it’s the actual producer that benefited mainly from having a track and not the musician who actually built the track.”

With that understanding, he started his own company ‘KEYZIE HOUSE’ “So I could have autonomy of my own music as an Artiste in terms of the type of material I’d like to release, the time to release it, and the promotion and media used to release it. Prior to this, I had to wait on the then Producers of the respective tracks to release on their own timing which sometimes would take months and for some, years” Shawn Antoine said.

Last week, he released his first production, Queen Cop’s Draw Close a collaborative project he did with the talented beauty queen and police officer – Sashi Henry.

Shawn said, “This was actually the second song I’ve produced for Queen Cop.” The first was a jingle he did for her YouTube channel, which ignited a flame for her to want to follow up this second track Draw Close.

He explained that “The process I’d say brought back memories as a young artiste recording.”

As a result of this, Shawn says “It was easy to coach her during the recording phase. Queen Cop had the general idea of what she wanted and after hearing this I had the idea of how I wanted the track and finished product to sound like.”

The song was written by Queen Cop while Shwan did the full composition on the instrumental, mixing, and mastering.

For clarity, Queen Cop is not signed to Keyzie House, “I don’t have any artistes signed to my company at the moment. Right now Keyzie House is just a music production company aka a Record label, in the future we will facilitate other aspects of music and entertainment” Shawn explained.

However, he exclusively told us that in addition to this released single by Queen Cop “Draw Close”, he will be turning the Riddim into a Juggling and so far he has 5 additional artistes, including himself.

Additionally, he is in the process of recording a dancehall/pop fusion juggling “which will have quite a few artistes on it as I believe Jamaica needs more jugglings which would possibly inspire more unity within the industry.“

Keyzie House is currently working on a few singles with other artistes which will be released soon.
