Rapper Offset has ended his legal battle with Quality Control Music, the label that helped launch his entertainment career as a member of the Migos group, according to TMZ.
The publication notes that while Offset will not join the company moving forward as a solo artist, “all disputes and differences were smoothed over.”
Offset reportedly filed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice Tuesday, ending a lengthy legal battle in which Offset claimed the label was trying to control the rights to his solo music and not honoring a deal they struck.
In August 2022, the rapper — whose real name is Kiari Cephus — filed paperwork in Los Angeles seeking a declaratory judgment “that Quality Control has no rights, title, or interest in or to Offset’s recordings” since he bought out his deal with the company early last year.
Offset is currently releasing music via Motown and his most recent single features his wife Cardi B, ‘Jealous’.
