Rapper, Cardi B will not face any criminal charges as the Las Vegas police have dropped their criminal investigation into last weekend’s incident in which she threw her microphone at a fan who splashed water on her while performing . The microphone ricocheted and hit someone else who had pursued legal action against the artiste after the incident.

According to Billboard, a police report was filed by the alleged victim Sunday (July 30), however the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed on Thursday (August 3) that Cardi has now been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

The police department wrote in a statement that “After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the alleged victim has not been identified.
