Jordan Henderson reportedly agrees to Saudi move

Liverpool Captain Jordan Henderson could be moving to the Middle East come next season, following reports that he has agreed to join Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.

According to reports, a deal between the England international and the Saudi club was arrived at on Thursday,

The Liverpool connection between former club Captain and fellow Englishman Gerrard is theorized to have a bit of sway in his choice of clubs in the league.

Gerrard of course accepted the manager role for the Pro League club in June.

It’s understood that both Liverpool and Al-Ettifaq are currently working on a transfer fee for the former Premier League winner. Henderson’s move would be another major win for the league which is gradually growing in popularity among some of the world’s biggest names as they cash in on the super lucrative contracts.

Among the stars who will be playing in the league next season include; Portugal Captain Cristiano Ronaldo, reigning Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, and former Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.
