Blake goes “Forever Faster” with Puma

Former double Olympic sprint silver medalist Yohan Bake, is officially a Puma athlete after inking a deal with the German sports manufacturing giant.

Blake who started the season running unattached revealed his new sponsorship home via shared Instagram post with Puma running on Wednesday.

The second fastest man over both 100m & 200m makes the switch from rival sports brand Adidas after more than decade with the company and now joins the “Forever Faster” family which is home to the likes of former training partner the legendary Usain Bolt, as well as his current training mate and protoje-Ackeem Blake.

The announcement comes just ahead of the start to Jamaica National senior trials which runs from July 6-9 at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Blake, the youngest men’s 100m World Champion will be aiming for a return to the helm of men’s sprinting starting with the defense of his national title at this week’s championships.

Last year, Blake posted his fastest time in over five years-9.85s to upset a quality field to reaffirm his status as Jamaica’s top male sprinter heading into the Eugene-hosted World Championships.
