After decades of no electricity, running to their homes the residents of Logwood Lane, St. Elizabeth are rejoicing as their Member of Parliament Floyd Green has kept his promise to get them electricity.

This was one of his election promises made prior to COVID-19 but MP Green says thanks to the support of the “Jamaica Social Investment Fund” for spearheading the project.

On Friday, it began with light posts pitched throughout the community.

The Logwood Lane community is known as a peaceful farming community and Green says this was a commitment very dear to his heart.

The Member of Parliament also noted that there are several communities currently without light, and he will be moving forward to ensure that those communities receive electricity.

The people of Logwood were extremely excited and thankful for the new development.
