It’s summer and fast-rising dancehall artiste Sylxnce, “Mr. Young Veteran” himself has stepped into the ring with his new single “Games Night” celebrating life through parties, girls, and good vibes.
The song was officially released on Friday, June 9, 2023, and produced by DHW Recording.
Since the release, Sylxnce says he has been receiving videos of people enjoying the song “dancing, partying, singing and just holding a vibe.”
Another video sees a child putting her own twist with the infusion of dance.
When asked what inspired ‘Games Night’ he said “It’s just the vibe and the tempo of dancehall” and he felt it was just right for him to contribute to the current vibe.
The song is reminiscent of a joyous summer vibe and throughout it, Sylxnce sings “dancehall ah wi place” and tells all “fi catch eh bounce” as they lock into the vibes and celebrate life.
The song has been given the stamp of approval from Sunjock and music producer Krissonic who premiered the song on the 104.5FM and classified it as “loud”
Sylxnce, whose given name is Nathan Clark, was raised in August Town, St Andrew. The burgeoning artiste said, “I’m proud to say I’m a young ghetto youth that is rising and making my family proud.”
He said both his family and friends are already proud of him and his achievements which means a great deal to him, as it keeps him going.
The singer stated that there are many young people in communities like August Town who are seeking opportunities despite where they are from. He explained that while the journey to pursuing a better way of life may be tough he had some words of encouragement.
He said; “follow your goals and vision but be committed and patient“.
Sylxnce shared that his musical Journey started in primary school and continued throughout high school as he was a part of the choir at Papine High which is known for coming out on top in several choir competitions. This he notes sparked his interest in the music world.
The Games Night singer had the pleasure to voice a few of his tracks in the iconic Sizzla studio with Reemus K (Sizzla’s son) who showed him how to make music and helped his musical foundation.
Since then, he has released several singles, such as ‘Dreams’ and ‘Addicted’ released about 8 months ago.
However, this latest single, ‘Games Night’ has created quite a buzz in the dancehall arena. Quite apt too is that the song has been on rotation at the popular Romeich Games Night where several dance groups have done varying choreographs to the catchy flow and rhythm.
Sylxnce credits Yow Levite from Friends4Real who has been impactful and has played a major role in the production of the song.
For the optimistic newcomer in the music industry, Sylxnce said this is just the beginning. Supporters and interests alike can look out for his upcoming EP, the visuals will be published very soon.
