Member of Parliament for Central St. Catherine, Olivia Grange told Parliament that her “constituency has turned around so dramatically, that we now have the least crime in the greater St. Catherine.”
On Tuesday, during the sitting of the House of Representatives, Grange made her contribution to the sectoral debate and commended her team, constituents, business leaders, police, religious groups, and others who have been championing the way forward and supporting her over the years.
She said the people of central St. Catherine and her have “a wonderful love affair” and she is proud of the work “beating back the challenges” in making “Central St. Catherine better and stronger.”
Grange who also serves as Culture Minister carried home the point that “politicians seem to be an endangered species these days – you are a good person until you enter politics” but for her, she “knows most people enter politics because they care, because they want to serve.”
Minister Grange further added that the aim is to make a change and difference in the lives of others as politicians.
