N’Golo Kante reportedly signs for Al Littihiad

Influential Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is the latest high-profile player destined for the Saudi Arabian Pro League after reportedly finalizing a big money move to Al Littihad on Tuesday.

According to reports Kante who has been in negotiation with the Blues over a new deal for months has opted for a financially enticing move away from Europe to the cash-rich Saudi League.

The deal expires after a year and is worth upwards of €100 million per season as he looks set to join France teammate Karim Benzema, who officially joined the pro league champions in a €200 million move away from Real Madrid.

Both players are the latest major names to join the lucrative play in the middle east as the local operators aim to boost the notoriety of its Premier League, following a historic hosting of the World Cup in the region.

Tournament winner Lionel Messi was also on the Al Lithiad’s wish list of players following an eye-watering € 400 million proposal however, opted for a move to the US to join Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami.
