The Caribbean region has the world’s highest net emigration rates in the United States and for Jamaica alone, 1,118,931 Jamaicans born on the island are now living in the US.
This according to Wayne Chen is “Critical implications for policymaking, but seldom taken into account using empirical data.”
The 2023 World Population list ranks Dominica as having the highest net emigration rate.

While Jamaica does not top the list, the island of reggae and Haiti are the top countries that account for 39 per cent of the U.S. black immigrant population.

Another research is expected sometime this year.
