Jamaican singer Naomi Cowan is further establishing her name on the international scene following the release of her collaboration with British actor/Dj Idris Elba titled ‘We Run The Area.’

The video for the track which also features British producer Toddla T and UK-based deejay General Levy, was officially released on Tuesday via Idris’ official YouTube channel.

‘We Run the Area’ gives a fusion of sounds between UK drill and dubstep and sees Cowan show off her versatility in the deejaying department, delivering a flow-filled verse that was on par with the cadence of her collaborators on the track.

The collab looks set to boost an already growing European fan base for the ‘Paradise Plum’ artiste, which was evident in the strong reception received during her performance at the recently concluded City Splash festival in London.

The activities further add to the anticipation for her upcoming album which is said to be released this year.

 Cowan currently has an EP out titled ‘Star Girl’.
