Lady G distances herself from reported gun seizure in Portmore

The 90s dancehall artiste Janice Fyffe, more popularly known as Lady G, is clearing the air and distancing herself from reports that a veteran female artiste was taken into custody in relation to a gun seizure in Portmore. The artiste says she has no knowledge or association with the matter.

She currently resides in New Jersey and has had no run-ins with the law, locally or internationally.

According to Lady G, her management is in receipt of numerous phone calls, text messages, and emails expressing concern for her safety and well-being. Also there has been mounting speculations about her involvement in the gun find.

However, while speaking with SLEEK, the veteran artiste made it clear that she has no issues with the law and is asking all to refrain from associating her with any wrong-doing.

Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) state that a female artiste from Greater Portmore has been in custody since Sunday, May 21, on suspicion of breaches of the Firearms Act. The reported further states that during an operation in the Greater Portmore community, a premises occupied by the artiste was searched, and a gun was discovered hidden among items of clothing. 

Meanwhile, Lady G has been working on her her soon-to-be-released EP titled “Mi Still Dey Ya” and promised to give SLEEK Entertainment the exclusive.
