Suspect in killing of Ricky Trooper’s daughter in custody

The suspect in the murder of Brianna McKoy, the daughter of noted sound system selector Ricky Trooper, is currently in custody, after being apprehended by Law enforcement on Monday.

According to reports, 41-year-old Derrick Francis O/C Ainsley Forbes, who was named a suspect in the April 6 shooting of Brianna Mckoy was caught by officers in Ohio.  

Bridgeport Police Department (BPD) confirmed his capture via their social media on Monday.

Trooper also shared the progress via a post on his Instagram page

local and international music personalities along with fans expressed praise by the update.

The department said Francis was taken into custody after fleeing from a vehicle during a traffic stop in Ohio, WTNH-News8 reports.

It’s further reported that Francis is now facing additional firearm charges in Ohio after a loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle he fled from.

Francis will now be extradited to Connecticut where he’s expected to be formally charged with the murder of McKoy News8 reports.
