Afrobeat Mega star Burna Boy racked up his second platinum certification in the US after his 2022 summer smash – ‘Last Last’ was officially verified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) to have registered the equivalent of 1 million in sales in the country.

The RIAA officially certified the Grammy nominated single on Tuesday (March 7), and comes one month after qualifying for the certification as previously reported by Sleek Jamaica.

The certification is Burna’s second in two months after his 2018 hit ‘YE’ reached platinum status in the US on January 26.

Last Last’ which broke onto Billboard Hot 100 charts, amazingly took just four months to move an additional 500,000 thousand units in sales after going Gold in November of 2022.

The track gained Platinum status in neighboring Canada that same month after pulling over 80,000 units in sales in that country. That pace eclipses the 2 years and 7 months by ‘YE‘ which was previously certified Gold in May 2021 before becoming his first-ever platinum-selling single in the US.

Burna Boy now has four RIAA plaques along with his ‘On the Low‘ record which is certified Gold.
