Reggae/Dancehall star Agent Sasco is “grateful” to be “honored” by Harvard University’s Caribbean Society as its Entertainer of the Year, for outstanding contribution to culture and philanthropy.
The annual awards ceremony, which is in its sixth staging, was held on Saturday in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
“I am honored and grateful,” Sasco captioned a post sharing the recognition with fans via his Instagram on Saturday.


He also shared an award overview of his achievement and impact prepared by the Society.
“His reputation for consistency and versatility shines when he seamlessly pivots from the free-spirited and raw energy of Dancehall music to the conscious messaging of Roots Reggae, to his scene-stealing hip-hop guest appearances.”
“Despite his achievements and worldwide recognition, humility and philanthropy are core themes that inspire Agent Sasco’s music and personal life.”
“He is an icon of evolution, from an explosive vocalist on Jamaica’s Dancehall scene to uplifting with songs about turning adversity into achievement.”
His peers along with fans were quick to celebrate his latest accolade.
“Mi grow you good 😂 congrats bro,” track legend Asafa Powell responded,
“Congratulations bro🎈🎉,” Bounty Killer said.
Jessie Royal, Kemar Highcon, Tami Chin-Mitchell, and Omi also delivered congratulations to the singer.
Sasco who has over 20 years in the music industry has had several local and international hits over the years.
His strong and distinguishing vocals have also been used on tracks by rappers like Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and Kardinal Official to name a few.
