Two shot, one fatally in Clarendon debacle

Two people were shot, one fatally, in a brazen shooting incident in Clarendon yesterday evening. The deceased is Michael Marilyn otherwise called Bighead, a 38-year-old contractor of Homestead, Spanish Town.

It is reported that both Marilyn and a female passenger were travelling were traveling in a Grey Toyota Wish motor car.

Upon reaching the Dampy Main Road in Clarendon, Marilyn stopped in front of a grey motor car that was parked along the roadway with two men aboard.

It is understood that one of the men exited the vehicle and had a brief dialogue with Marilyn and also exchanged undisclosed items which subsequently led to Marilyn making a phone and handing the phone to the man.

After the phone conversation ended, the accused pulled a firearm from his person and fired at Marilyn. His accomplice also fired at the victim.

The report further outlined that the victim ran but was pursued by both men who shot him and the female passenger before returning to their vehicle.

The female passenger managed to summon the Longville Park police who were on patrol in the vicinity.

Both victims were later transported to hospital where Marilyn was pronounced dead while the female victim was treated.
