School principal Suelyn Ward Brown who was charged in connection with the sale of fraudulent lands in Clifton St Catherine, was further remanded until October 31 following her court appearance earlier today.
Parish Court Judge Desiree Alleyne also outlined that a decision regarding bail for the accused will be rendered at the next hearing.
Ward Brown is charged for breaching the Proceeds of Crime Act and Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act. She is also facing a charge of conspiracy to defraud.
In addition, two other suspects are being sought by the police in relation to the matter.
Meanwhile, attorney for the accused Deborah Martin outlined that the police was premature in the arrest of her client after it was revealed that additional charges would be laid against Brown.
Martin further noted that this discovery affected her bail application as the judge objected on the basis that there was much more to be done where the investigation was concerned.
Martin also issued a plea to the general public to not draw baseless conclusions but be mindful of the fact that investigations are still ongoing.
