Inter Milan terminates Alexis Sanchez’s contract by mutual agreement

Former Arsenal star striker Alexis Sanchez and Serie A club Inter Milan have parted ways by mutual consent after three years in Italy.

According to reports both have agreed that the move is the best for all parties as they Milan prepare for their season opener on Saturday.

Sanchez who transferred from Manchester United in 2019 along with teammate Romelu Lukaku following and initial loan agreement helped Inter to their first league title for 11 years in the 2020-2021 season.

 The Chile International has however has struggled with injuries and form since, which has seen him relegated to the bench for the majority of his tenure.

 Sanchez scored 20 goals in 109 appearances for the Serie A giant.

In a brief statement the club thanked the striker for his time in Milan.

“The club would like to wholeheartedly thank Alexis for these last three seasons and we wish him all the best for his future career,” the statement read.

The 33-year- who also had four seasons at Arsenal before a disastrous spell at United has been linked with a move to French side Marseille.
