A massive brawl broke out aboard a Carnival cruise off the coast of New York City on Tuesday, June 28, over what was deemed as a cheating scandal gone awry.
Reports indicate that around 2:00 a.m., two passengers overheard an argument from a couple stemming from an alleged threesome encounter shared with other passengers during the voyage.
During the heated argument, beer bottles were thrown, and one lady was cut in the face as the ruckus moved throughout the ship, starting on the fifth floor, and ending on the first.
In the midst of the melee, Cruise officials notified the Coast Guard, which launched a small boat from Staten Island to escort the ship the rest of the way to its Pier 88 dock.
In addition, members of the New York Police Department were also notified, however, no immediate arrests were made.
Meanwhile, Carnival Magic acknowledged the incident in a statement saying, “a number of guests were involved in an altercation in a nightclub as the ship returned to Manhattan.”
“Thankfully no serious injuries were reported, and our onboard security team intervened. The ship arrived as scheduled and authorities were notified and met the ship to interview suspects and witnesses and conduct an investigation,” the statement outlined.
