An Atlanta Subway worker was killed, and a woman injured on Sunday, June 26, after a customer opened fire following a heated confrontation about a large amount of mayonnaise found on his sandwich.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Brittney Macon.

Police reports indicate that around 6:30 pm, the suspect entered the restaurant and ordered a sandwich with a minimal amount of mayonnaise.

After collecting his order, the suspect noticed that the sandwich had a liberal amount of mayonnaise; following the discovery, the customer then engaged in a heated brawl with Macon to site his disgust about the overuse of the condiment.

During the argument, he opened fire hitting both Macon and an unidentified employee. Following the shooting, both Macon and the other victim were rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead while the other was admitted in serious but stable condition.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of the Atlanta Police Department Charles Hampton has indicated that the suspect has since been arrested, however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
