Dancehall producer, Linval ‘Shab Don’ Thompson Jr, has been slapped with three counts of murder in connection with a triple killing in Rose Heights, St James in May.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Shab Don was charged with three counts of murder by the Major Investigations Division, after reportedly being pointed out in an ID parade.
The Producer was also said to have been slapped two counts of shooting with intent.
The charges come just over a week since his June 3 arrest by members of the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JATF), while travelling along the North-South Highway in St Catherine.
According to reports he was named as a person of Interest in the murder of 24-year-old Chamario Calvin, 27-year-old Chadwell Fraser and Toniann Reid.
The men were reportedly among five persons who were shot during a drive by on Marl Road in Rose Heights on May 25 while at a birthday party.
Shabdon was only recently acquitted of an illegal possession of firearm and ammunition charge in April.
His co-accused Romario Scott, 22, pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to six years and one month.
Shab Don’s arrest comes while reportedly on bail while awaiting trial for a corruption charge for allegedly attempting to bribe a member of the JCF in connection to the illegal possession charge.
