Just under a week since becoming Spotify’s most streamed female rapper of all time and first to generate a billion streams in 2022, Doja Cat says she is calling it quits on music.

The rapper and singer used Twitter to vent her frustration and feelings to hand up the mic, after facing a backlash from fans in Paraguay for a cancelled show.

The show was reportedly ditched because of a severe storm in the area and the singer expected fans to understand, which they initially appeared to.

However, the ‘Get Into It’ singer felt the ire of the fans when she tweeted an apology to Brazilian fans at Lollapalooza for what she says was “not a good enough show,” and promised to do better on Friday.

The tweet left Paraguayan fans feeling shafted as they didn’t get an apology for their cancelled show. This led to a mini back and forth online as she responded to a fan with “I’m not sorry”.

Fans, even journalist retorted angrily towards the singer’s bold pronouncements. To which she clapped back with “I moved on, I’m just gonna let everybody be mad” before changing her Twitter handle to “I quit.”
