Jah Cure to appear in court on Wednesday

Reggae singer Jah Cure is set to appear before a Dutch court on Wednesday, to answer charges of attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, and aggravated assault.

The singer, who has been in police custody since his October arrest in the Netherlands, will be making his first appearance to defend his case against the accusations.

Reports are that Jah Cure was slapped with the charges after an alleged stabbing incident with concert promoter Nicardo ‘Papa’ Blake on October 1, 2021.

According to police reports, Mr Blake filed a report on the incident before being rushed to hospital for surgery.

If convicted, Jah Cure could face some serious jail time for each count.

Under Dutch laws, aggravated assault carries up to eight years, attempted murder carries a maximum of 10 years, while attempted manslaughter attracts the biggest penalty of 20 years behind bars. A cumulative time of 38 years in remand for all charges.
